“Death of a militiaman”, the most emblematic photo of Robert Capa continues being surrounded with an important controversy. In her there is received the precise moment in which a bullet reaches a militiaman. This photo conviertió in the most famous image of the Spanish Civil war. Nevertheless, for the long time it has been questioned: it has defended itself and his veracity has stuffed itself systematically.
José Manuel Susperregui, teacher of the Department of Audio-visual Communication of the University of the Basque Country, published recently a titled book “Shades of the photo”. In this work he dedicates an entire chapter to this image, concluding that it is a placed photo. He makes sure that who appears in her is not who believed and who took in Hill Muriano, the place that till now he had thought not also.
