The similar photo of Carl Ander

The work of this photographer of only 17 years gets rid enough of those that I have presented till now. To me to seem stands out for his a little twisted and extremely personal vision (does it photograph under?). His images have captivated me and that's why the post of today has been gained.

The fotogrófo carlander, he manages principally with the similar photo, so much in color as black and white (nevertheless the above mentioned shape most of his work). His there is a miscellany of street and artistic photo (they will find fog great, a lot of gray, many effects distorsionantes).

His equipment consists of a Holga 120 CFN and a Kodak Tri-x 400. In addition to his Flickr they can enter his blog. It is based on its own images so the fact that it is in Swedish it is almost a detail. Also, some of my favorite photos next.

Helen Levitt: the children in the streets of New York

encabezado-haciendo-foco-helen.jpg

Again I feel attracted by the old black and white photos. As well as recently we were revising the work of Diane Arbus this time we go with another recognized photographer neoyorkina: Helen Levitt. This artist is considered to be one of big photographers of the XXth century, she identified by his black and white works of documentary genre.

It paints the portrait of the streets and the inhabitants of the city of New York, especially to the children. She was a pupil of Walker Evans and of Cartier-Bresson and she had his contact with the movies and the documentary at the end of the 40, influenced by Luis Buñuel.

Levitt was feeling intrigued by the drawings done in the path that, during this time, were proper of the infantile culture. That's why when a Leica was bought it began to photograph to these works as well as to the children who were creating it. A series of really advisable images. Do not get lost them.

Diane Arbus: portraits of the marginality

encabezado-haciendo-foco.jpg

The work of Diane Arbus could not stay on the outside of HaciendoFoco. In this opportunity we devote ourselves to know a little more this artist of the photo. Diane Arbus (1923-1971) was a born American photographer in the city of New York. During the decade of seventy it covered this city with the target to select his personages. In 1967 it realized the exhibition “New Documents“ that was the one that did it acquaintance to the big public. In 1971 he committed suicide, after a long depression.

Diane Arbus characterized for eligir marginal personages for his photos, for example: dwarfs, nudists, twins, mental patients, prostitutes, etc. These look straight at the camerawoman, what takes as a target to produce “fear and shame”. In 2006 the movie “Portrait of an obsession” took Diane Arbus as a protagonist (Nicole Kidman was the manager of personifying it). The plot of this movie is fictitious, Diane Arbus is based on the book “: Grasp Biography to source” of Patricia Bosworth.

Inside his out-standing photos Child with Toy Hand Grenade is “in Central Park”, “Identical Twins“ and “Jewish Giant at Home with His Parents in The Bronx, NY”. If you wish it next you can know these and others of his photos.

Justin Ouellette and his portraits in singular

060824.jpg

We gather another New Yorker (as we did another day), but time is not to highlight Manhattan. We speak about Justin Ouellette, who although it is native from there works in diverse cities, taking pictures between which the portrait seems to be the line that he emphasizes more.

The Ouellette photo appears before us well in color and black and white, and herself he explains his extract. Random portraits, in which the model turns out to be isolated and with singular importance beyond the context of the photo in himself; urban situations received from different angles; sceneries cut away to will of the lens …

The characteristics of his photos can see them in Chromogenic, place in which they will find an abundant file that lends to be enjoyed calmly.

Adrian Callan and Bangkok to 1000 per hour

3368456783_f088b55ca71.jpg

To register a city is a difficult thing, and obviously it is a question of a task marked with subjectivity. In case of Adrian Callan, the task is more accessible (simpler) that for others, since They Are quiet it works of cameraman for a television network of Bangkok, and as it it has an abarcativo pantallazo on what it happens out.

They are quiet it uses the Thai capital as a work stage, and his whirlpool is registered to the detail. The Callan fotoblog contributes this sensation of being mounted to a motorcycle, and of being observing the details that happen around us at big speed. The colors miscellany is fascinating, and some effect difuminador also has his quota to reach port.

Distributed in his personal blog, his web site and his flickr, the work of Adrian Callan is a good way of acquiring a vision to bird flight on what they are a Bangkok and his people. To 1000 per hour, skylight.

Daniel Voegelin II: Gentleness in color; black and white gentleness

20091016011112_simg_0674.jpg

We complete the work of Daniel Voegelin begun days behind to offer a new contribution to the analysis of his work. Today it matters, like separate chapter, the use of the color on the part of this photographer and his integration in his artistic work.

Agility of line and a sensation of gentleness are distinctive marks that remain impregnated in the sight after appreciating a brief sample of the photo of Daniel Voegelin. This photographer has been able to explore several aspects of the photo without hesitating to lose his spirit, and has managed to capture it in all of them.

If gentleness speaks of supporting the delicacy and muffling the impulses, it costs to say that Voegelin obtains it to the perfection, and developing his line in dissimilar areas like the architecture, the urban photo, the minimalism, the abstraction and more, Voegelin caresses the eye.

His work is shared in Shuttermaki, good pantallazo of the work of the photographer. Next we leave a proper pantallazo.

Mamoru Hosaka in the middle of the big city

haciendo-foco-central.jpg

We turn the target and black thanks to the works of Mamoru Hosaka, a photographer native to Japan (more specially than Kawasaki). Only the big protagonist is enough to realize a rapid trip for the works of his blog to discover: the city. The big metropolises are present across the luminous cartels, the semaphores, the motorcars and the lights.

Probably the Japanese cities belong to more avasallantes. Inside them it paints the portrait of his inhabitants (always in public places as streets, rooms of game, tubes or telephone boxes).

Most of his photos was taken by camerawomen Hexar RF, Leica M3 and Contax G2. As the first presentation nothing better than to know a pair of his photos. For that simply you must click next.

Olof Fredrikze, or when the color fades away

20080807165540_drup-2.jpg

Olof Fredrikze is Deskman, Dutch photographer that across his Olympus, Nikon and Canon integrates simple things with showy colors, providing to the detail of a peculiar beauty that highlights it of notable form.

This is the Deskman talent: the observation and the work from her. The Deskman photos count all with the inexplicable delight that has the simple thing, and together with a handmade hand that does that that stands out of the context. Across difuminaciones, the photographed objects remain immersed in a world of movement and light.

Exactly these photos are those that we rescue of the file, those in which this work remains expressed of clear form. Deskman also has black and white photos and other things more, but if I have to choose, I remain with these.

Li Wei against the gravity laws

tree-gravity.jpg

No. This that you see is not impossible. At least under the lens of the recognized Chinese photographer Li Wei, who combines an imagination of big dimensions with an artistic talent and an exceptional workmanship, which give like turned out the incredible images that we appreciate today.

Li Wei takes time being employed at this type of photo, all of them proving to be individuals against the gravity laws. Nevertheless, nothing is of photoshop here. Li works only with cables, mirrors and the acrobatic skills of his models.

The images are addictive, and some really impossible to understand. The desire stays of appreciating the behind the scenes of the study of Li Wei, and a heap of signs of question that pile up between our eyes and the photos themselves.

Vintage and absurdity for Jonathan Patt

20091112-the_importance_of_selecting_the_right_tool_for_the_job1.jpg

Photon is the repository of files of Jonathan Patt, a photographer who hangs photos on Internet for four years, and who takes a love as the retro placed deeply between his preferences. We invite to meet Patt directly, with a selection of photos of the first level.

Patt has worked enough on the macrophotography, in which he emphasizes the role of the insects in her. Also, the abstract ones also steal his leading role from themselves. The lineament is, undoubtedly, the vintage. Patt plays very much with the esthetics retro, and the same design of his web site has the marked stamp.

Ariba we leave one of his last photos up to the date, living example of the absurdity about which we speak. This is, the same way, the only one of the facets of Patt (that the same way there preserves well the line of most of his work).

Jens Hoffmann: the power of the white person and black

The white person and black turns into the option preferred to capture the lights and the shades, the structures and the emotions. Although the digital photos are more practical they did not manage to satisfy completely Jens Hoffmann, artist who chose for the analogical photo (and therefore, the pleasures of the developing in the dark quarter).

After a long photoblogging period it created an extra place in Internet where it is focused a little more in his images. It is a way of presenting his photos of a different way. They can know this place clicking here.

This German divides his time between the practice of the photo and his work like scientist in the field of the biotechnology. His black and white images transmit a big emocionalidad that I recommend to discover to them.

The Flu TO H1N1 in photos

h01_21037531.jpg

Undoubtedly, one of the most excellent topics for the world (but more) of this year has been the influenza virus A H1H1, which (also called flu A or porcine flu) it began to scatter quickly for the world, untying a world alert for the fear of the possible pandemic.

The reactions were, undoubtedly overestimated, and several went out harmed by it. The same way, it costs to stand out the fact that the flu A is between us and has dispersed on several parts of the world, including Venezuelan and Australian tribes, taking in whole 7000 victims (number that the same way is bajísimo compared to the victims of the seasonal flu).

Already to one month and a half of the closing of the year, epochs of balance come, and from HaciendoFoco we propose to realize it with photos. For it we take some of this one special of The Big Picture in which some photos are gathered on the state of the question.

“HeadPead“ of Kaarel Mikkin

encabezado-haciendo-foco.jpg

In the place baptized under the name HeadPead it is possible to find the personal gallery of Kaarel Mikkin. The name of the place would mean in Estonian language something like “good heads”. In this case a good technical equipment is the base to create an important and attractive series of photos.

It is in this place where it presents his personal photos as well as others belonging to different projects in which it has taken part. Mikkin has been employed at the industry of the publicity and of the design in more than one decade (practice that of course turned into an important support at the moment of developing his skills as photographer).

East lover of the photo does not adhere to any genre in particular. Simply it leaves that each of his apprehensions count its own history. Tallin, the capital of Estonia is almost always the protagonist of the images. If they wish it they can gain access straight to the finished gallery of this photographer clicking here.

Joseph O. Holmes coloring without criterion

up-through-the-yellow.jpg

Joseph O. Holmes (that does not have any kinship relation with the naturalistic photographer Joseph Holmes) is one of these focused artists to register the routine character inside the city. Conscious that the urban space borrows for a multitude of situations, Holmes is going to smell bad to the detail, where the eye often does not manage to see.

This way, it is capable of registering many incongruities that usually go unnoticed in the city (although others not so much, as a TV sets tier next to the drawstring of the path (?)) respecting the good use of the tonalities and adopting an esthetic criterion that transforms his photos into a definite beauty product.

His photos are changed and sufficiently little related some with others. We find natures inside the town planning, portraits, photos macro or up to some abstraction. Everything costs in his file, of forced visit.

Versus NYC and a black and white Manhattan

20091104010735_n-train.jpg

As well as Manhattan is a city that lends for everything, also there are photographers who are in charge of occupying of that one everything. In this case, under the pseudonym of Versus NYC we find someone who is in charge of doing his black and white part to himself.

The Manhattan that we know here is a rather random Manhattan, without definite criterion and with enough mobility. The absence of lineament, nevertheless, does not mess up. The camerawoman of Versus NYC travels round the streets of the city registering his inhabitants, his forms of life and the general fortitude of the city.

It is a good trip for the same one, and although the color normally express this luck of urban tourism of a more precise form, the white person and black is a good bet for with the spirit of the fotoblog.

Danny O'Brien: Contrast and movement

jelly-flush.jpg

Difficult it is to mix oxímorons, and more to integrate them as if they were one. In case of Danny O'brien the task seems not to cause him too many difficulties, and risks mixing sensations put up in the same photo, managing to form an ambience that lends for the contemplation.

Blurred someone, precise others, more uniforms in color some, with pronounced contrasts others, the photos of Danny O'Brien combine several elements in the same capture, with results of a particular beauty. Nature, the people and places intermingle with the same logic, and with a clear line.

O'Brien's file is vast and with a pair of years of length. A simple blog for a simple photographer and with a definite lineament.

Charles Peterson: the Nirvana photographer

encabezado-kurt.jpg

In this opportunity I invite them to step back a little in the time. I want to present to them the work of Charles Peterson, a man who between other motives stood out for being one of the photographers of Nirvana (as well as of other bands fix inside the musical phenomenon of this moment).

Charles Peterson (1964) is a North American photographer who has made know to himself by his work along with the independent disquera Sub Pop. Peterson was in charge of documenting the scene grunge of Seattle during the 80s and 90s. We already know that this city rocked several extremely recognized bands, turning into a wild Indian of the rock. The artist not only photographed to Nirvana but also to Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mudhoney and Alice In Chains.

His apprehensions try to receive the energy and the emotion of this musical movement. In this case I present some of the photos that were part of an exhibition realized in Soulcatcher Studio (Seattle) titled: "Expert You Are eats: Seattle's Rock Legacy. Many of his photos were presented in the movie Kurt Cobain About A Sound. Here we leave a pair of them to them. Also they can see his last works entering his page. An extremely recommended trip! They will be able to find excellent photos, between them several apprehensions of the current musical scene.

Robert Hauk: every detail in the center of the sight

encabezado.jpg

Inside my almost daily trip for different Photoblogs I was with the apprehensions of Robert Hauk, a designer and photographer who takes works as a nucleus of all his the city of Vienna, Austria.

The information about he does not abound. Nevertheless, only it is enough to observe a little his work to extract some conclusions. First of all the nature seems to be one of his favorite motives. Be already across the sceneries record or across the glasses use macros with which it registers flowers and all kinds of elements of the vegetable world. They are in the center of the sight

With Robert Hauk the small details appear in center of the sight. If they are interested in they can visit it in his Flickr or shorten the way and open the gallery of his Photoblog. First of all an outstanding figure: the selection of photos to which HaciendoFoco has us used.

Noh Suntag: the conflicts of the Korean society

encabezado-noh.jpg

Noh Suntag (1971) is a Korean photographer who has like one of his biggest merits having documented the tensions generated between South Korea and North Korea. His images reflect the difficult situation inside each of these societies.

For the first time and of individual form it shows his work in Spain. His sample was titled “State of emergency“ and it consists of more 200 photos. These correspond to the period understood between the year 2000 and 2007. It paints the portrait of the declarations and disturbances produced in South Korea, motivated by the American military presence and the occupation of areas.

The series of Noh Suntag, formed by photos so much black and white as in color, have a historical and political suppressed high place. Is it interesting to them to know them? The landscape photo of Sven Seebeck

para-principal.jpg

If the sceneries photo attracts you you will feel more than satisfied after each of the captures knows about Sven Seebeck. He is a Finnish photographer who assembles in his Photoblog a series of interesting landscape portraits.

His final works abound in strong colors: it is not for less, the evenings and the natural games of lights are one of his big protagonists. The black and white photos also are present. So much they paint the portrait of some as others to the nature in his maximum splendor.

Them seen they are really paradisiac and in them there do not seem to be tracks of the human presence. There are really fascinating sceneries that with a good capture and a little of edition they are the result in a few panoramas worthy of discovering. This is only the beginning. Ben Heine is an illustrator, portraitist and Belgian photographer who across his work gives accurate sample of all his talent in each of these areas. He was a student of journalism and of graphic arts. Without doubts that a promising future has, more if we bear in mind that it has (only) 26 years.

Most of his work published in Flickr is free in finished size and to high quality. Across him they will be able to know the different and multiple facets of the artist. As always, little his work, next. Extremely recommended!

Of course you have felt in more than one occasion the need to throw certain object against the wall to take revenge of his …: bad functioning? Yes. It has happened to you with your mobile phone, with your clock, with your console of video games … Well, the French magazine Amusement runs in your help and, at least, it indicates you how the matter would be seen.

With credits in photo for Romain Laurent and in special effects for Eric Faivre, the gallery Overheating shows us the effect of collision and transfer that generate a few objects on having been covered with stars against a wall with the sufficient force as to cause a gap in the same one.

The gallery is esthetic and very well. One arrives and below three copies, they show the effect at high speed and exactly of detail.

“Sans frontières” of Dennis James Anzano

Under the title of “Sans frontières” it might group the work that Dennis James Anzano presents on his web page. An interesting space to be born in mind and that it will not take too much time to us to cover (the photos are limited enough in quantity).

Inside the work of this photographer self-educated the photojournalism acquires a big leading role: in one of his photos it is possible to see Barack Obama after announcing that it would be postulated to the career by the presidency of the United States. Also a series of photos on the Philippines. The principal image, exactly, belongs to this series; it is a question of a child playing on the roof of a dam that protects the hearths of the floods.

Although most of his photos is of file also it is possible to find someone newer. To meet a little more this photographer you can enter his page or see some of his images next.

The covered with snow sceneries of Julien Roumagnac

For a little bit I move away from the vivid and coloring photos and incline for something more sober and subdued. In this opportunity the covered with snow and rainy sceneries become present across the beautiful photos of Julien Roumagnac.

Julien Roumagnac is a relatively young photographer native to France. From 2002 he lives in Montreal (Quebec). In his images the city turns out to be almost static, painted the portrait black and white. The sceneries are really “of movie”. Of all forms Roumagnac it does not become exhausted there: his camera also captures industrial scenes and beach sceneries to the full sun. In his gallery photos of Cuba can be, imagine. Another side of the currency.

Some of his photos look like real paintings (as it is the case of the principal image). A really exquisite work. A sample of it, next.

Maria Rusakova: Moscow and a little more

20070830151856_img_6500.jpg

Sometimes I have the impression of which the portrait of certain sceneries they need very few skill (or even none) to achieve a resounding effect in whom it sees them. In case of the photos of Maria Rusakova I do not know if it is the scenery in itself, the apprehension of the suitable moment or an incredible sensibility. It must be a miscellany of everything, you will say to me.

The Russian Maria Rusakova presents a really inspiring work to us. Moscow, since it might wait knowing the origin of the artist, is one of the most painted the portrait cities. Many delicacy in his images and an interesting approach to the Russian capital.

It has an interesting precedent: In 2007 Rosbest was considered to be the best Russian photoblog. It is completely in this language and probably someone with knowledge could receive something more than I. Of all forms his photos are enough and I invite them to visit it.

It risks in several aspects of this art, including still life, sceneries, portraits and even works in study. Also it penetrates into an exploration of the urban world and of the street photo. Vogelin tries with different means and skills. He is a young photographer who continuously is re-defined, trying to expand increasingly the scopes of his photo.

Lu Guang and contaminated China

pollution_in_china_16.jpg

In the context of the climate change and the problems of the contamination of the planet, China does not do merits to improve the things. The contamination in China is extraordinary, and the damage that this country produces in our environment is gigantic. The emission of CO2 of China joined his pollutant industrial activity and the effects of the same one put it in an awkward situation, and the photo is one of the channels to verify it.

The merits go, in this sense, for Lu Guang, recognized Chinese photographer with numerous awards on the back, who in this occasion is in charge of making us appreciate the pollutant reality of his country, putting emphasis on the products and consequences of the contamination, more than in his causes.

In opaque and dirty tonalities, since it forces the object of his photo, Lu Guang opens the door to us to another China; not to the industrial, mercantile, urban, cultural one, but to the pollutant, the second-hand one, the eternal person in charge of many of the climatic problems with which we must fight every day.

Forests and digital art for Phil McDarby

gallery_wooddragon1.jpg

There is two Phil McDarby. Phil McDarby is well definite photographer, who works registering wooded sceneries and virgins, with photos in which the showy color steals the attention of the eye from itself. Phil McDarby is, on the other hand, digital artist, who takes his photo itself as a stage this way to give free rein to his imagination loaded with VERY MUCH Lord of the Rings.

It is to the latter facet of the Irish to which we send ourselves today to present his work replete with fantasy and he confessed to a love for the science fiction. His mind designs taking his pictures to capture his creations, and under wooded funds we see this way fictitious creatures of the forest appearing with a particular tenderness.

The esthetic thing - more that apart from the emotional thing - stands out for a few colors atrapantes and a supreme strategy in the distribution of the lighting, both the real one and the induced digitalmente. A work beautiful and worth rescuing.
